Hello, I’m Katherine! Welcome to the Vintage Kitchen. Here, we discuss all things history as it pertains to the world of culinary curiosity. On a mission to bring new life to old recipes, forgotten cookbooks, and cast aside kitchen items from the 1800s to the 1970s, this is where we all sit down at the table together and learn something new about the food we eat today and how it came to be.  Read more about how I  got started on this marvelous adventure here…

Christmas cookies get all the attention when it comes to holiday baking, but if we had to pick the perfect cookie for the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, we’d pick the snickerdoodle. The 2025 kitchen garden has been officially put to bed with the exception of a few herbs and hearty greens that don’t mind 30 degree temps and the first of the snow flurries. 🌱 It was our best garden yet at 1750 House. Can’t wait to start all over again next spring. The nocino is ready for sampling! We wish we could send every single person on IG a taste. 🇮🇹 It was a banner summer for Liz Lemon this year! 🍋 She grew to 6 feet in width and 3 1/2 feet in height and brought two whole lemons to full size. Not too bad for a little tree who survived a tornado, three New England winters, and a mysterious illness that reduced her to a 6 inch sprig just 18 months ago. Liz! She’s our brightest light and our ultimate inspiration for perseverance and determination. 🌱 🍋 🌳 💛 Three cheers! Our annual shop sale day is here! 🎈 Happy Halloween from our favorite little vintage goblin! 🎃
