Hello, I’m Katherine! Welcome to the Vintage Kitchen. Here, we discuss all things history as it pertains to the world of culinary curiosity. On a mission to bring new life to old recipes, forgotten cookbooks, and cast aside kitchen items from the 1800s to the 1970s, this is where we all sit down at the table together and learn something new about the food we eat today and how it came to be.  Read more about how I  got started on this marvelous adventure here…

We were so excited to see three bobcats in the yard at 1750 House today we are sharing it both on our feed and in our stories. First snow of the season at 1750 House! ❄️ We are so excited that our little vintage suitcase, used for many, many years as a photo prop here In The Vintage Kitchen is now embarking on a new adventure! Over on the blog, there’s a new post all about our experimental year of building an herb garden from scratch at 1750 House. How did it all go? Stop by and see! With total joy and gratitude, we just harvested the last of our collard greens and kale for the year before our first New England snowfall of the season starts tonight. ❄️ We couldn’t have been more proud of these enthusiastic growers this year. As true champions of the garden, they kept us in leafy greens from April all the way through to December - our longest and most prolific harvest yet. It’s pretty amazing what a few small seeds can do. 💚 Our town green all lit up for the holidays! 🎄 ⭐️
